Australian Regional Tourism are calling for presenters for their Convention in October! ARTC19 will be held in Devonport from the 21st to the 23rd of October. The Australian Regional Tourism Board announced Devonport as the host earlier in the year after BET’s push for the 2019 event to come to regional Tasmania. Working with the Cradle Coast Authority, BET led the bidding process which included hosting the ART’s Executive Officer for a three-day famil in the region earlier this year.
The theme for this year’s event is, “Getting Ready for the Spotlight”. Is regional Australia finally a genuine part of our national tourism agenda, and are we ready?
Regional Tourism professionals and business and Government personnel will gather to discuss the biggest challenges facing Regional Tourism and how they can compete in the global market. The event is expected to inject at least $250,000 into the local economy as well as the intangible benefits of conferencing including the promotion of cultural exchange, boosting productivity, fostering innovation and nurturing research collaboration.
