Business Events Tasmania is committed to business events that recognise the key industries and competitive advantages that exist in Tasmania.

The Tasmanian Ambassador Program, started in 2016, engages local and national industry leaders to champion the state and work with us to identify and secure events in their field. These ambassadors identify new lead opportunities, support our bids and open doors for BET, connecting us with new Ambassadors along the way.

The resulting business events create a platform for foreign investment, trade and research collaboration while showcasing our talent to the world.

In 2019 BET added a new recognition level into the program, TAP Industry Champion, to honour ambassadors for their outstanding contributions.

The Benefits of being an Ambassador

Are you a leader in your field, eager to expose Tasmania’s potential to the rest of the world?

Then work with us to bring conferences to Tasmania. Our Ambassadors are publicly recognised as being a part of a program that delivers tangible economic, social and cultural benefits to Tasmania.

Hosting a conference enables you to gain personal and professional recognition along with prestige on the global stage. It shows leadership and enables you to showcase your organisation’s capabilities to a large and influential audience.

You will be helping to promote Tasmania’s research, academic and innovation credentials to the rest of the world, at the same time giving local professionals and students in your field the opportunity to attend a national or international conference.

To find out more about becoming an Ambassador or Local Host, contact our Manager of Trade & Strategic Alliances at (03) 6231 1366.
