Last week the Business Events Tasmania team attended the Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo (AIME) at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre. AIME is the country’s most significant tradeshow for the business events industry.

As an organisation we invest significantly in AIME to ensure Tasmania is well represented on a national level, to national and international event planners and trade media.

The trade show unites a community of over 4,000 suppliers and meetings and events planners under one roof at the Melbourne Convention Centre over two days. Business Events Tasmania had two full streams of pre-scheduled appointments, and while the trade show, as a whole, saw less ‘walk-up’ appointments, the quality of each appointment was high.

As a result, the BET sales team will be sending out requests for bids and chasing up new business for Tasmania. BET secured 24 Qualified Bidding opportunities and over the coming weeks, more bids will come from these appointments.
