In celebration of another successful year of the Tasmanian Ambassador Program (TAP), last night BET held our annual event to recognise those who have made outstanding contributions to the business events market in Tasmania.
Through the Ambassador Program, Business Events Tasmania works with local and national industry leaders to champion the State and identify national and international event opportunities. The resulting business events create a platform for foreign investment, trade and research collaboration while showcasing our talent to the world.
Our ambassadors are leaders in their field and represent Tasmania’s key industry sectors including information, communication and technology, science research, Antarctic and Southern Ocean, agriculture and the maritime sector.
Launched in 2016, the Program now has fifteen passionate and influential ambassadors as well as the patron The Premier of Tasmania, the Honourable Will Hodgman MP, championing the state as a leading business event destination to the world.
To further recognise ambassadors that have worked with us for a number of years now. They support our activities and causes, they have given us their time on a number of occasions. They identify new lead opportunities, support our bids and connect us with local hosts. At last night’s events, 5 ambassadors were given the new title of TAP Industry Champions:
- Theo Kapodistrias
- Karen Rees
- Gretta Pecl
- Jan Davis
- Greg Oates
